And yes, the heat-shrink tube will probably wear out pretty quick, but I'll see how long the stuff works this summ ... |

My 924 NA has got a similar sound. A quite audible "whiiiiiiiii" that follows the trottle position so I just assumed that it's the throttle interiour that makes that sound...

If it's an Audi based transmission that you have in your 924 then the trans mounts are the same as a 944.
Yes, it's a 5 speed Audi gearbox.

I thought the 4 speed was discontinued in the US after 1978? Might be wrong. I have had a few '79 come through here and all were 5 speeds.
