Don't take this too seriously, I was just acting guinea pig for Smoothies idea. 
And yes, the heat-shrink tube will probably wear out pretty quick, but I'll see how long the stuff works this summ ... |

| My 924 NA has got a similar sound. A quite audible "whiiiiiiiii" that follows the trottle position so I just assumed that it's the throttle interiour that makes that sound...

| If it's an Audi based transmission that you have in your 924 then the trans mounts are the same as a 944.
Yes, it's a 5 speed Audi gearbox. At least they do look the same? But in the PET there is: ... |

| I thought the 4 speed was discontinued in the US after 1978? Might be wrong. I have had a few '79 come through here and all were 5 speeds.
