Yes, The black plastic collar is off!
If it had something to do with the Steering Wheel lock, as was suggested, how could I get around that? |

| Thanks for the reply but unfortunately that seemed to have no effect. Is that bearing on the steering shaft just supposed to be a slip fit or does it have some interference? |

Try this link http://www.clarks-garage.com/, then go to "The Garage Shop Manual" - under there you find directions for Cargo Cover Repair. I haven't tried it but sounds good to me.

I removed the heater contol assy (3 slider type) from my 1979 US spec 924. Nothing seemed to be working and all the levers were out of place!
