Have you tried downloading the PET catalog from the Porsche website covering 1975-1979 porsche 924? Most parts are listed in there.

I got a rebuilded engine cheap, but it was not running right. I tried to adjust the valves, but 2 of the adjusters could not open enough clearance and 2 other were sitting in too deep. Probably mixed ...

The cooling fan relay
I just went out and checked it again the relay is still warm to the touch
not enough to melt anything but u can feel it for sure.

I have done mine cold too with no problem once the tappets were put back in the right order with the proper adjusters.

not sure how safe it is its, normally yes however if rework has been done to the head its possible are beloved non-inference engine has become interference type.
