Anyone know how to refit the cam belt cover. I wrestled with it to remove it to change cam belt and fix stat housing leak.
Driving me crazy!!

Your emissions are too low IMHO, these things are best around 2 to 3%, I normally aim for 2.5, but it does vary car to car.

Thanks guys. Emission pass here is 4.5 CO and 1250 HC.
Yes need to invest on a cis tester.
Btw the idle screw is 6 full turns out from its seating point?? Too much?? Idle is around 950 hot.

Hi Stefan, do you need a special tensioner pulley wrench to tighten the belt. Mine looks like yours with the two holes as opposed to a tension "nut" shown in the Haynes manual?!

Yes the single line wear mark you can see on the middle of the belt. I assume it wasn't there when fitted, but I may replace it ne way.

Cam belt has a mark all the way round as though it has been rubbing on the cover which I think may be occurring near the oil pump area as the cover is narrower there. ( just a thoug ...
