That what I have read also. Seems like the cheapest place to start on the fuel level. So that's where I will begin. Thank you for confirming

So with that said, I don't have a lift, but I could probably borrow a engine lift. would that be possible? Jack up the car put it on stands and use the engine hoist to suspend the engine?

Ok, I'll check for a bind behind the speedometer first and try and lube it and see if that solves the issue. I had it on a lift today and didn't see any binding leading to the front wheel

Thanks for the info, I think instead of trying to lube the cable, I am just going to replace it.

I have also seen on this forum a topic where it talks about a broken gear on the back of the speedom ...
