I'm looking for a torque wrench that measures in ft/lbs and has like .5 distance between measruements.
I already checked canadian tire and the mastercraft torque wrench that is 3/8 inches measures in inch / pounds nad the 1/2 inch measures in ft /lbs but it starts at 25.....
they also have a crappy torque wrench (needle type) that measures in ft pounds 0 to 150 but the mearuments are 0, 5, 10 etc. and it doesn't look too acurate.. I can't really uset that to measure 7 or 11 ft/lbs
I also checked the sears website right now (canadian site) and they only have a torque wrench that measures in inch pounds 25-250 inch/pounds and the same crappy needle type.
the us site has the wrench i need, mastercraft torque wrench that measures form 5 to 80 ft pounds with .5 measurements but they only have it in the us stores and you have to pick it up in the store.
This sucks I don't know where else to look. _________________ 78 924 sold.

Well if you can do a little math in your head. Divide inch pounds by 12 to get foot pounds.
You didn't specify how much you are willing to spend you can order from Snapon but it wont be cheap.

You should check www.houseoftools.com
They are a Canadian company, you can order online if you don't have one near you.
I got my inch/pound 1/4 drive torque wrench from them, I think it was around $60.
I got a similarly priced 3/8 drive foot/pound torque wrench from them for the higher torque bolts. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

Surely one of the 200 or so they have listed will fit your budget. To find a wrench that accurately measures down at the 7-10 ft. lb range, you will probably need one that is calibrated in inch-pounds. I understand that although the beam type of wrench isn't the most glamorous, they are actually more accurate throughout their range. _________________ '79 Eurospec 931 |

for small torque amounts go with the needle type and I already told you to go to kmstool.com and find the store locations and go there, they have them really cheap at the moment, they also have the other style click head (cant remember the technical term for them at the moment) for really cheap as well, but when it comes to low amounts the needle type is fine. _________________ 3 928s, |

I have two, a smaller one that measures in inch lbs, the other in ft-lbs. Both are craftsman from Sears and both reliably measure to 1-unit increments. About $60US each.
Why don't you try your local Sears again, they'll have it. If not, try sears.com and order online. |
