i have to find one in europe, but around 25€ would be a good price right? EDIT: just found one on ze german ebay, the chooise is between a 82* and a 88*, but it says both are only for a 2.5l 924S, is there a difference between the 2.0l and 2.5l thermostat?
side note to the original problem:
when the engine gets to hot (ie. after ive been doing donuts for a while), it loses oil pressure as soon as the tach gets under 1,000. but the gauge is only a little over half by then. so i suspect its actually reading low all the time and when its half way the engine is in reality overheated... sound logical?

I had the same problem and thought my car never heated up.
Ive recently replaced the temperature sender and now the gauge reads correctly!
Could be the same problem you’re having? |

This is what the rear coolant flange under the dizzy on the S2 turbos looks like. I'm guessing your's is probably similar. My sender (sensor) did not have full thread engagement and was causing my gauge to read lower than the engine temp actually was. The threads on it were damaged (not sure if it was deliberate or accidental) allowing it to only be screwed in about half way.

They are different, you need to find an 88 degree one for a 2.0 liter 924. _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"
