You might need a new ignition switch. _________________ 1978 924 95 mile daily driver.

I knew that positive thinking thing wouldn't work. |

Maybe a new keyboard too - your keys are sticking badly. That or I hope your don't drive like you type - you'll need another car soon! j/k _________________ Vaughan Scott

If everything works okay until the engine warms up, and then the engine won't start after you shut it off, I would guess that you have the ignition timing, fuel mixture, and idle speed set wrong.
If you set these adjustments with the engine hot, then it might not run right when the engine is cold, but it should start, even if you have some minor problems in the fuel system.
If you set the adjustments with the engine cold, even if you don;t have problems with the ignition or fuel systems, the engine may not run correctly once it warms up.
Since it won't start and idle when hot, I would guess that you have the mixture too lean, and/or the timing too advanced, and/or the idle speed too low.
Check your aux air valve, it may not be working correctly. |
