Hi guys!
I'm about to finish my ITB manifold for my 931 and thought you guys may want to have a look inside of it
The difuser is missing right now from the pics but I have made it, though it doesn't look too nice right now
I used NA stock flanges and had welded tapered "adapters" to match ITB's, these things need pretty heavy port matching also. The mounting holes are in need for some cleaning and machining.
I'm trying it on my car in a few days, if everything lines up, I have the whole thing welded up.

Great work! Looks like you're pulling out all the stops

I presume you're going to move the alternator away from it's stock location too? I think racing found some space under his intake (where my friendly AC compressor sits).

Keep an eye on the fitment near the brake booster & master cyl. too. It's close on mine. In fact, I had to bend my brake lines around - but I have my throttle body mounted on that side too.

Yes, I cut the AC compressor mounting bracket and move the alternator down. A bit of fabricating and different V-belt, but it should come out fine.

Raceboy,

How are you finding the clearance between the plenum and the brake booster. Mine was very tight, so I'm inerested to see how the diffusor will fit on. BTW, I'll have those pics for you in a day or two. VV busy at work at the mo.

That was my main concern too. I mount the difuser on the top of the main plenum, otherwise it fits. I want to retain the runners as long as possible, hence the top mount (otherwise I could shorten the trumpets by lot).

Semi-off topic..

What is the stock manifold made out of? How hard is it to weld aluminum or mild steel to the stock manifold runners?

The stock manifold is cast aluminum. Not sure how hard welding the aluminum would be, but I will assure you that welding the steel onto the aluminum runners is impossible due to the nature of the metals.

The manifold is in the car and all fibished up. But I've been too busy finishing this whole thing up because of my university studies, work and some racecar projects.

And it had to be modified a bit. The design you see in those pics is "under develeoplemtn stage"

And no, 931 that they sit on is street car that gets occasional track days.
