OP Sender Readings. . .HELP?!?

Anyone know the correct resistance for the OP sender when no pressure is present (ie, what resistance makes gauge read "0")?

Also, is it a mistake to use thread sealer on the sender (for grounding purposes)?

infinite (open circuit) will cause it to read 0.

So that means, disconnected should read zero, right? So, if the gauge is pegged when disconnected at the sender, I have a short in the sender wire?

You're right on not using any sort of thread sealer on the OP sender. Almost all single wire sender/sensors ground through the block, so you might check that too. G'luck!
