Been there! Though never off my 924.
I had one pried off my Fathers 74K 911 Carrera 4! At middlebury college none the less. Cost a lot to go there but some lowlife townie likely did it.
I hate it when other people can not respect some ones property!

maybe you should go with a sticker badge like they have on the new gt3's
That really sucks though

Unlucky, dude.

It's happened to me as well, the rear badge was ripped off at a grocery store. They're not too expensive online but if you get a used one you're probably encouraging stealing them. Might make sense to attach it more securely, like welding or thread the posts. I've got sleeves around the posts with a screw going in at 90 deg. to the post axis. _________________ 1977.5 924 "Martini" head / New Old Stock rebuild

Putting them on too securely just provokes the idiots around here to pry it off with a screwdriver. The resulting damage to the hood isn't worth it, so mine now go on with silicone.

Been there too. Now I just press the badge in so the paint won't get ruined if someone tries to pry it off. Some kids collect 'em. _________________ '88 944 Auto - may or may not resurrect |
