Yes another tyre question!

I'm looking to put some new 205mm tyres on my 924's stock 14in 4 bolt wheels
and these are the only decent ones I've come across:

http://www.top-tread-tyres.co.uk/dunlop-sp-sport-9000-20545-r14-80v-i94.html

Is it ok to go to such a low profile from the standard 185/70 R14s that are on there?
I know the speedo will be out but that's not a problem.

Also any opinions on the tyres?

Thanks guys.

I bought a set of the SP 8000 or 9000 line from Dunlop, they seem to be good.

Also with the depth, my rule of thumb is don't go under 50%, you ricks blowing the tire out and damaging the rime easier if you hit a bad pot hole etc.

It all depends on whether the standard rims can stretch to a 205 tyre. I haven't seen anything definitive on this, but I think it can be done.

I have a smaller-than-standard set up on my car and it definitely benefits the acceleration. If you want to preserve the rolling radius with a 205 tyre you'll need a 65 profile (which probably isn't available).

I don't think pot-holes are too much of a problem, but the 45 profile will bring you within rim-crunching distance of kerbs, so beware parking!

The smaller the sidewall, the less impact the tire can take, I just wanted him to be aware of it.
