Here y'go:
Pre-install:

Post-install:

I like this setup because I can show it off by folding the seat down, or hide it by leaving the rear seat up and pulling the luggage cover. It fits perfectly on the back of the rear seat. Bazooka makes a few different versions that look like NOS tanks: 8" or 10" subs, blue or white, passive or powered. Mine is the powered 10" blue version.

Here's a good thread:

And also a link to how Vaughan did it in his car:

Here's what Dan was pointing out:

I usually forget it's there:

Those speakers in the rear carpet are not connected, just taking up space. Instead, I'm running a pair of 6.5" JBL's IIRC in the rear stock speaker location - just had to carve out room in the sheetmetal, but there's plenty of room.

Up front, I've got some 4x6 Alpines IIRC. Almost fit under the stock grilles, with spacers.

Doesn't sound all that hot right now, however, 'cause my head unit's about dead - cheap Aiwa, worked great but I seem to have cooked the amps. Clearly, as loud as our cars are, a proper amp for the speakers is needed to hear much at speed.

I'm awaiting my next paycheck right now, then will order up a 4-way amp and a new headunit... probably get at least a Blaupunkt head unit, from Midwest Electronics (they're the factory-authorized dealer for cheap/rebuilt BP stuff).

It's sad, even my radio antenna is out, all I can listen to are CD's, when they don't skip, and my MP3 player...

I like both those set ups alot. Soundwise though I wonder which way get more vibration from the sub? I used to have a bazooka in my old CJ-7 Jeep years ago and liked the open air crispness that it gave off. But I really like the box that Vaughan made that is concealed. Vaughan, do you get alot of rattle with that box? Is it ported? How did you secure it? Also, my 77.5 doesn't have door speakers, but can I cut them in? The windows are not electric if that matters. The blue NOS tank is awesome though! My first thought was.."hey what the hell, I was told that these cars don't like NOS, screw the stereo, I wanna go fast!!" Then I looked closer...

No, it's a sealed box, 10" Polk sub IIRC, and you can see the amp in the side well to drive it. Had to cut out the spare tire mount to install. No rattle - nothing's loose back there, and I don't crank the sub so much. It's a snug fit, and isn't even tied down really - will just lift out.

Pull your door cards (inner panel) - you may already have sheetmetal cutouts for door speakers.

You're using a fake nitrous tank as a subwoofer tube? In a Porsche?

Wow PORSCHEV! Looks like you've spent a ton of time and it shows. I really like the hinged setup so you still have access to the cargo area. I can only imagine how deafening it is. Pretty sweet. Where did you get your steering wheel and gear shifter? Very nice work!
