ok guys i know that you can put a 350 and a 302 and v6 and ls1 and all that good junk in the 924 and 944 anyone ever hear of and 928 motor in the 924? i am curious and i have a spare 928 motor!! wouldnt that be fun

It wouldn't be easy because the 928 engine is very wide but check this out, click on "race dept" and scroll down to the second item. It's a 944 GTR with a 928 engine.

i have seen that car but that is straight race as well my company deals with kelly moss a good bit

i think that thing on the far left with the black handle is the shoe horn....

well my motor is only SOHC so it is a liiiitttllle smaller. plus i thought that the 924 engine bay was about 2 inches wider than the 928. i know they stuffed those motors in those cars!!! trust me many banged up knuckles can attest to that

A guy in Macedonia used a 928 engine in a 944 to break some speed record. It was some 10 - 15 years ago. It was all over car magazines over here and as I recall, the body looked pretty stock to me.

that kelly moss site hasnt had updated pictures in at least 5 yrs and thats a mock engine for test fitting. I haven't seen anything since to suggest that the project was ever completed.
