Lots of 924 footage, as well at the end of clip 4 there is some footage of the 924 GTR Lemans car (current POTD) out racing too! _________________ 3 928s, |

cool video. Although, I think this video was really made for the Porsche enthusiast. I mean, you could get people say this kind of thing about mazda's, and we would all watch and say 'pppssh!' _________________ 1978 924 NA

Thanks for sharing, definitely enjoyed the manufacturing process/testing footage. I'm a sucker for any old forms of automotive media like this. _________________ 924 NA - December/'78 - 5-speed snailshell |

I really love the part where they show the galvanizing process and motivations for galvanizing the whole shell..
The part where they say there's a warranty of 7 years made me laugh. After more than 25 years my car shows no sign of rust whatsoever while the paint has some damage... the zinc coating beneath is still undamaged
quality stuff, no matter how you look at it. That's why I bought a porsche. _________________ "Rule: Turbo's make torque, and torque makes fun." (C. Bell)

I just got around to watching it. Very cool, full of little gems ("So, the Porsche is like opium to you?" the interviewer says to the Chinese bloke. "Heh heh, something like that..." he replies )
There's a fleeting glimpse of what looks like a line of 924 Carrera GT's in there. The toofah features quite heavily. I guess it must've been made after 1980 (the 924 Le Mans car is in there) but before 1983 (no 944's... well, one quick shot of it in the design studio).
But really, that must be one of the worst edited films I've ever seen! A good find and great fun for the aficionado. But, mate, torturous editing! _________________ '80 924 Turbo |
