I change it once a year also since it only gets driven here and there in the summer, so not many miles are put on.

Interesting! On the cars I don't drive that often, I change oil every 6 months regardless. Guess I should've included one more option, eh?!

I've always felt that if it sat in the ground for millions of years, what's another year or two in the sump? Yeah, I know, water and unburned hydrocarbons pollute/dilute it and help form acids....blah blah blah. But I've never seen bearing or crank damage on any engines I've taken apart after many years of sitting with old oil.
YMMV

hmmm... I buy two gallon at a time. One and a bit for the oil change, the rest goes in the boot for top-ups,. When i have used the two gall up, i drop it out, change the filter and start over again, usually about every 10 months.

OK, time for something a little different this week. Wanted to try out the "matrix" style survey:

What octane rating fuel do you use?

you forgot shell vpower 99/100oct (depending on country). Dont you have it over there? A nice safety margin for the 931, it also has more consistent quality than regular 98.

You can't get 91-92 RON (87 US) or 93-94 RON (88-89 US) in the UK.

It all starts from 95 RON (90-91 US) and goes up from there
