Installed a set of Euro bumpers on Spike today. Did a 'temporary' semi-gloss black spray can paint job on them before the install. Sorta matches the flat black 'temporary' paint job on the hood! The car is a driver, never will be a concourse poseur. I'd rather have numbers on it, and several dents from racing, but that's a dream for the moment. So, I like the look, have a couple pairs of these bumpers, and now have one set available. I have another summer project and want to just drive the Spiker! Ignore the scratches, red paint showing, etc., took forever to get the front bumper installed. The passenger side hidden nut was forever moving, and couldn't get the bolt to bolt. Ugh. Beer was flowing after! Ok, and during as well!

What did you do with the wiring? PET seems to show a high and low beam on the driving lights. . .

Yer really?
Which PET?

No idea if US ones are different, do you even get US ones? The Au ones are just high beam and have a little 5W bulb for parking lights (or whatever name). Probably hard to distinguish by PET illustration.

The driving lights are for show for the moment. I'll take a look at the Euro car wiring to try and match it to the Spiker. The turn signals work though, only a 2 wire plug on the euro, vs, 3 wire on the US version. So, no 'running' lights when the lights are on. I typically don't drive at night though, or follow someone with better lights than mine!

Well, gents, I happen to have a car outside with what you lot call 'euro' bumpers, so to help you out I'll take a quick peek at it later on in the weekend and see if I can offer some helpful input on getting your wiring sorted

Right on, man, thanks!

You're welcome, without checking the lights got 3 pins and the indicators got 2. Better answered byt the OP.

Just enoy other peoples simple succsess stories. We all know P.E.T is full of parallel universe fu*kiries...Get out there into the Porsche world for real and take a risk yourself. Your conservatism is stiffling to say the least!. If you like these here bumpers, just buy a set and stop the newbie inquisition.

Jackass? I don't even know it's American intent/meaning.

Anyway, you're a pain in the ass pure and simple. Why don't YOU go out and experiment with parts and report back here with results an solutions rather then sitting there with your PET and sponging of other peoples r&d?
