Driving it, really driving it, finally. Went back to factory boost, and the car runs great. Will slowly dial it up until I find the detonation threshhold.
New motor. . .unbelievably super yummy! _________________ Toofah King Bad

Last week, installed new 19 mm rear sway bar, easy.
Today, replaced clutch master and slave cylinders, not so easy.
The upper took half the time as the slave, not sure why, but brake fluid flows downstream, and onto forehead pretty easily.
Replaced worn out starter while I was at it. _________________ '83 944 Track car.

I dont know if this qualifies for exciting to you all but it was exciting to me. After having this car sit since turkey day 2009 and having me do work on it occasionally, I finally got to go for a real drive.
It was a balmy 70 degrees in warren county today and I just finished bleeding the brakes from my 944 5 lug upgrade so I took it out. I liked my 924 before, now I love it. Had 3 kids stop playing in their yard come to the curb to watch me go by, had a jogger tell me to slow down despite doing 5mph under the posted limit (so at least I look fast), and the car handles like a dream I cant get it to missbehave (maybe because it doesnt have much power but lets pretend thats not the case). I love this car.
All things point to me having this bad boy on the track this summer. If I can figure out how to put pictures in the posts I'll upload the ones I have later.
Just a side note, I asked in a post a while back why my car stalled or surged when I used the brakes, the consenses was bad booster. When I took the old booster off durring the upgrade it was 1/3 full of water, explains why my brakes were s**t. |

| ^^ water, there was some heavy rusting on the crimp that runs around the circumference. I feel like it leaked in there and just ruined any vacuum I had going on. |

^^ ask and ye shall recieve.
Its a 78' 924 (the one in my avatar), did a 5 lug upgrade, painted it green and white because a gallon of yellow (the original color) cost like 700 bucks or something absurd like that.
Got a set of phone dials on it now with tires that are too big and I have a set of 7" and 8" fuchs but I'm looking for a pair of 6s for the front so I can sell the 8s.
Slowly converting the interior black becasue the tan looks hiddieous, made a replacement plate for the radio on a laser etcher to match the interior. Thermo time switch is bad so I wired the cold start injector to a switch behind the gear lever (so I feel like I'm a race car every time I start it).
Bought it in 2009 not starting for a cool $800 (I got taken for a bit of a ride but not too bad, the PO was just a liar and a DIY electrician so the wiring was a mess) and slowly worked on it over the past year and a half to make it a track car and I'm almost done.
Have to clean the starter solenoid terminals yet, have to plug an oil leak that comes up out of my dipstick (old motor casuing some blow-by), and my coolant just disapears somehow (no spotted leaks and its not showing up in my oil) but thats all that is left wrong with it.
Hope thats what you meant by stats. _________________ 89' Ranger with a custom front end and 924 bucket seats

A few of you might recall that i was going for the GTS headlight conversion on the car a long time ago... however the buckets that i bought needed to be modified extensively for everything to fit and the bucket backing was angled so that meant that i needed to fabricate an entire projector housing, blah blah blah... too complicated!!! And in-spite all of that, illumination would still be bad since the lights are pushed in.
So my solution is this:
The last pic is over exaggerated because i used my cellphone.
Lights up the road very nice Still more work needs to be done... need to make a shroud and the lens. Work in progress _________________ 1977 Porsche 924

Jason, you're being awfully coy about your project. Still trying to come up with your own private model number? _________________ Toofah King Bad
