The first 924 drive of the summer was this morning. It was great to blast down the highway with the window open and the breeze blowing in.

It's been a long winter in storage.

Spring in Vancouver = More intense but slightly less freezing rain.

Oh, the southwest, drove the toofah all 'winter', that's what people call that season, right? Nyuk. Track day on the 26th, then we hike back to a hopefully thawed-out wisconsin, in mid-april.

It's not nice to tease our brothers up in the cold, barren, bleak north .

Although, I must say we just got back from a little trip from Kingman to Oatman and back on the "Old" original Route 66, the one built in the '20's.
Narrow two lane road with lots of twisty bits through the mountains with a lot of 10 MPH and 15 MPH signs with a lot of curvy arrows on them. Temps in the low 70's, slightly overcast sky...yes a good driving day even though we were in "Pearl" and not "Blaze" today since there were four of us in the car. We'll be taking "Blaze" back through there May 1st when we do the last stage of the Route 66 Fun Run, but up to then she gets exercised at least once a week out here in the Southwest .

Oh, Khal, lots of snowbirds out here...relatively cheap living costs, but not the greatest services in the world...always a trade off, but if you need a big city Vegas is only 90 miles away .

I see you are from Milwaukee, my home town, still have family there...too many times I waited for the thaw to play with the toys so I feel your pain!

Saving grace though is that Milwaukee is a great town with a lot of things to do and great places to dine. I also really miss Elkhart! We'll be getting back there on a road trip in the next year or two.

Maybe I should consider doing a reverse of Khal and save to become a "summer bird".

Signs of spring in Detroit: two crackheads spotted trying to pawn a space heater.

Who needs groundhogs?

Now THAT was FUNNY!!!!!

We are still getting slushy rain .... and LOTS of it.
130% of seasonal normal (sic) rainfall in rain forest <----(or what's left of it), is a heck of a LOT of rain.

Tonight... snow.
