Hey guys,
I was driving earlier, and when I got home I heard a loud, I'd describe it as a humming sound. Following the humming getting more high pitched, the car died. I started it back up and it idled fine. My first thought was that maybe the car overheated as it is ridiculously hot today. Under my own stupidity, took it for another ride and it died on the road...this time I paid complete attention to the temp gauge and it didn't seem to be overheating at all. I then tried to start the car up, but it cranked and didn't fire. I checked my spark, it's just fine. After it sat for 10 or so minutes, it fired back up and I was able to get it home. I'm assuming it has to be some sort of fuel problem, but I don't know where to begin?!
Thanks for the help,

also, my RPM gauge no longer works after this incidence. I don't know if it's at all related? I let the car sit an idle for a lot longer than it takes for it to die on the road. _________________ 1979 924 Sebring Edition, "Claire" |

it was actually as simple as a plugged up fuel filter! heh
The RPM Gauge going out was purely coincidental I suppose, it started working randomly a few minutes back on the road. _________________ 1979 924 Sebring Edition, "Claire" |
