Hi guys, does anyone know whether other VWAudi cars have the same window switches or could they be used for the 924. Mine fell apart and is totally wasted!
Also: I understand (correct me if I'm wrong) there was an Audi 100 of around '77 or '78 that used a very similar motor to the 924 Only it was carb fed - is this correct, and if it was, what diffirences were there?

Regards

Okkie

I bought my switches on Ebay. I just checked and there are several there in brown and black and found several that ship internationally. I did not find any VW switches that matched during my searches and the ones I did find were different both on the face and on the connection side.

944's use the same switch most can be ressurected by pulling them apart
and cleaning the contacts. If they're really bad apply silver solder and polish
with 1600 grit paper will last forever if the current draw is OK
Pete

PS Put 'em back together the right way,,,Make sure you note how they come apart assuming it worked before not one that has been f**ked with before
