Took of the belt and turned the pump by hand. In both directions, there is a soft squeak, like rubber rubbing on something. No discernible play.

Should I replace?

In my opinion, which is worth what it costs you to read this, if it ain't leaking, then no. That's probably just the seal making noise.

What's your coolant like? Maybe it needs refreshing, as on of its properties is supposed to lubricate this seal.
