What probably happened is, the switch melted and broke the circuit before the fuse had a chance to blow.
Also, don't forget to check the park lights. There are two circuits, one for each side of the car.

edredas - ahh...you know I bet that's it.. I don't think those parking lights work at all..bet I'll find something there...will keep you posted...thanks for the advice..
