I don't understand how that fixes the leak.

The wraps over sized and covers the seam ... Out of sight out of mind no more leak.

This. The wrap covers a great part of the roof. And, can be done in body color. Not a real fix, per se, but a clever band aid.

From what I saw of that thread, the wrap didn't cover the seam.

I see what you are saying, OP's intonation was that it did, after re-looking, it's a bit shy of full coverage. Still, wouldn't be a stretch to do the entire roof with a body colored wrap IF one didn't want to use the sunroof and had bad problems getting a seal.

My leaks are coming from a dealer-installed AC unit and that will soon be fixed. Sunroof doesn't leak per the water test. Just need to get whatever clamps go on the front latch, as they are missing. Uncertain of what they do other than tighten the grip on it, as there is no lifting or air leaks w/o them, at highway speeds.

Duct Tape would seal any sunroof leak for much less.

Call it racers tape, slap numbers on the side, and all is good

New seals would probably be cheaper than a wrap. I looked into one for the race car and even with just two colors they are not cheap.

The wrap plus install would be about the same as new seals, a couple long necks (or good cigar if you are me) and an hour on a nice afternoon installing them yourself.

Cheers,

Ian
