I have a 10k original mile 1980 924. I lifted the carpet in the rear hatch, pulled the spare tire, removed entire rear carpet piece and the padding and nothing...
It's original paint, and car is certainly not messed with. It does have the center panel installed between the tail lights, but zero evidence on the paint that a sticker was ever anywhere.
Nothing on the manual either. Kinda bumming.
Any Ideas of other possible locations? Was it always between the lights starting from 78? _________________ 1980 924 10k orig miles

I've been told it came in later, but have no idea when. Early cars, such as my Martini had a paint code on the LHS door hinge pillar and no rear sticker, I would think if yours has that, then it would be unlikely that the information would be repeated on a sticker at the rear? _________________ 1984 n/a Ruby Red Metallic

I believe the sticker in the trunk came in from 82. Try contacting your local porsche centre. Here in the UK we can speak to Porsche UK and get the details of the codes the car was supplied with. Failing that email Porsche Classic in Germany for details of how it left the factory. _________________ 1977 2.0 NA UK |
