Buy the K-jet pressure testing stuff before you start randomly tearing into fuel system and replacing things. It's an analogue system that requires individual tuning and adjustment, you should not expect it to improve by just bolting on new parts. A wideband O2 sensor and gauge is also great to have.

The other thing that might make it fall flat under load is distributor problems. For that I'd recommend a timing light with adjustable advance/retard, you can easily get an approximation of your timing "map" by using that.

Yeah, except if the fuel injectors haven't been replaced, odds are very good they're no longer doing the job.

Of course, you can test the spray patterns to verify... but at this point in a restoration, it's kinda like arguing about replacing spark plugs...

They're a bit expensive compared to spark plugs. If I was starting over with a badly running 924 I'd get a wideband sensor before even trying to do anything else. You can figure out a lot just from how the AFR responds to different load/RPM/temp. Without the gauge it's hard to know what's really happening.

I've been on my current injector set that came with the car for 17 years now!
