|
|
I'm so excited to finally have gotten these back from Powder coating and also got the new Goodyear Eagle F1 215/40/16" tires mouted and on the car.
please excuse the mess. The garage is busier than ever before. My little brothers Saturn keeps blowing transmissions in the same spot. Has nothing to do with him burning off tires or anything... and the Porsche is getting a lexan window as well as new trim and gaskets everywhere and the head is currently off in lala-machine shop land as well as the seats out waiting for the rear windows to get tinted....
So, as you view this photo... Please understand... it's not all pretty... but at least those 968 mirrors make up for it
Ever notice I like to hang out a lot in the Performance Upgrades? _________________ Classic British Sports Car Restoration v6 + v8 Engine Conversion Swaps

Can someone explain the widespread desire to have a rollbar in a street car...I currently have a guys Mustang in my shop doing a paint job, and he wants to put a roll bar in as well??? I can understand if you are racing...but why for the street? I have a Camaro for drag racing and it doesn't even have a roll bar....you don't need one until you are under the 11 sec mark....it it just more unwanted weight! _________________ 1976 924

Roll cages have a few advantages, even on the street. Of course occupant saftey comes to mind, they make the cabin that much more structurally sound.
They also greatly improve the rigidity of the chassis.
I think the biggest advantage in a street car is the added feeling of security, that's why most people who drive SUVs do it... _________________ '81 931 in various states of assembly |

how wide are those rims? 16X7 or 16x8? the visual difference of low profile tires is drastic, and you've definately lowered your final drive ratio with the low profiles. and with all your weight saving, she's gotta be the quickest damn 924 n/a i've ever seen. _________________ '88 924S Sport Edition

16x7 on front
16x8 on rear
Yeah, big difference... I am lowering the car even more... It makes a difference in final drive for sure! Car does move very quickly. No problems barking the tires at 60 mph... _________________ Classic British Sports Car Restoration v6 + v8 Engine Conversion Swaps
