well you can either get an after market kit (windblown?) and intall that, or you can get a 931 drive train, engine torque tube and tranny, you will of course need the entire 931 fuel setup as well, but what you could also do is keep the 924 NA and buy a second car a 931 _________________ 3 928s, |

| yea i have heard of the Windblown and BAE kits but haven't been able to find them on the internet, i was also going to install a oil cooler and inner cooler as well as do a performance came stage 1, and finish my exhaust i wasn't looking for a large turbo just under 10 psi |

have you thought of a SC instead?
IMO they would be easier to install then a Turbo, and there is even a spot that would be easy to mount on _________________ 3 928s, |

| haven't really thought of a SC before because of the trent that goes along with a turbo, who would make a SC that would fit my car that would have a low enough boost that it wouldn't blow apart my head? and if i went that route what other parts would i need to fit with it? |

you could go with a Vortech SC that is the most efficent so I have heard but only really creates boost in the high up basically they are belt driven turbos,
as per a kit there isnt one, you would have to fab up your own mount and crank pully and works, however as per the BAE and Windblown kits, good luck finding 1, I have been here for over 2 years and have seen 3 BAE kits and only 1 windblown kit, and most of them were NOT for sale _________________ 3 928s, |

| if the SC only produces power towards the high end of the power band , i dont think that it would help, im looking for more of a midrange power boost, thats why i was looking towards the turbo..... instead of getting one of the kits if they are so hard to find, could i just get a used turbo and hardware off a 931 and use a manual boost controller to level down the boost |

would it be worth investing in a turbo rebuild kit and rebuilding the faulty turbo or just scrap it and find a turbo somewhere else and use the kit and adapt it to the turbo _________________ '81 924 n/a "The Baby" Modified!!!!!

the turbo from an 81 turbo makes peak at 3000 rpm which is the same as that SC, you could use a twin screw roots SC which is a really low spooling SC,
however also on the 931 parts it WONT WORK, the exhaust manifold will not allow you change the sparks plugs, but will also mess up the starter configuration and the oil filter as well _________________ 3 928s, |

i have another question about using the 931 , you said about the manifold blocking the spark plugs, well i was going to replace the manifold anyways and have a custome one made, would that make a difference? to the usage of the parts? _________________ '81 924 n/a "The Baby" Modified!!!!!

if you want to go Turbo on the 924 and you are going to be fabbing up an aftermarket system why not use a more upto date turbo that has a better cooling system and ballbearings? _________________ 3 928s, |

ok, just wasn't sure, if im correct the 931 used a kkk-27 or kkk-26 turbo ... i have heard a lot of good things about a T3 or T4 turbo but i believe they are very expensive _________________ '81 924 n/a "The Baby" Modified!!!!!
