Anybody know how easy it is to convert my automatic sunroof to a manual set-up. I know this is bass-ackwards to what most people want to do, but I really don't have any use for the automatic set-up. Plus, all the work I currently need to do just to replace the stripped lifting gears, adjust the cables, figure out why the motor isn't working and so and and so forth...just isn't worth it to me.
I'd like to have a hinge system where all I have to do is unlatch the rear of the roof and push it up into a locked position.
Ideas??? |

the manual isnt that easy, you dont just unclip then lift and it clicks into place, you either remove and put in the hatch, or you prop it on the back latch arms and use a vynil strap that holds it from flying away _________________ 3 928s, |

Okay....thanks for the heads-up on that one.
I've actually been looking at the current set-up and I've realized that I can devise a fully functional manual release/hinge-system using part of the current rear-hinge components. I'll post an update if I decide to go that route so anyone interested in something similar can see what I'm doing.... |
