Hello.
I'm replacing my tach since I evidently wired mine incorrectly after replacing the dash.
My Haynes wiring diagram is Greek to me and doesn't seem to correspond to the numbered terminals on the back of my tach (either one) or the available wire colors.
I have three wires (black, tan and green) and three terminals (+12, 1, - ).
Can someone simply tell me which wires go to what terms. please?

The tan (brown) should be ground, so that goes to (-).
Green eventually makes its' way to coil terminal #1, so it goes to (1).
Black is the 12V+.

Thanks Smoothie.
That confirms what I just located in the "tech" section subheading "fixing a broken odometer, point #2. (Not exactly where I expected to find it)
Just installed and it works great.
Funny 'cuz thats how I had the other one wired. I may have touched something wrong and fried it. Not the first time.
