As you all may or may not know I have a bunch of Les Leston steering wheels that are NOS for early sports cars. Austin Healey, Alfas, Ferrari, Rover, MGs, Porsche, etc. They are very expensive.
I got an email from a guy that states he wants a wheel. Okay.
I received an email today stating that he wants the wheel and that I should accept a bank check for the total but from someone else and that the wheels and parts will be picked up from me and not to send it. The guy owes the him money and will pay for the wheel. What happens is that the check bounces and he has the wheels.
Scam. _________________ "Never let them see you sweat"

Is that the first time you got that?
I have been getting those for years. I reject them out of hand right off the bat. Tell him you want cash or postal money order.
I just report them as spam and my e-mail blocks them out.
Also I normally send them a nice nasty note along with the block so they can not respond

Scam. |
I would agree to it, then once the "friend" arrives, mention going to a bank with the note. He will do one of 3 things: 1. Say "uh what? I don't think we need to do that". 2. Say "you don't trust a bank draft?" 3. Run. |

If someone is picking up from you in person there is no need for anything other than cold hard cash. _________________ MJ
