Can I use ATF Dexron III fluid in 924S `87 for power steering? Workshop Manual says: Dexron II D. Which one should I use? I`m asking because second generation is almost unavaible ...

Dextron III is fully compatible with the previous Dextron II formula for use older cars. It will also work in cars that require Dextron. That's called "backwards compatibility".

I would not pour a can of Dextron II or Dextron I into a car that specifies Dextron III (not forward compatible).
