I have a Racing Dynamics brace and the only possible probplem with fitting it to a 931 might be the charge tube. I believe it sits right in line with where the brace skims across the valve cover. I do not know if this is the case with Brey-Krause. _________________ MJ

cheers guy's,
My car has no charge tube anymore as i have an Intercooler being fitted.
I spoke to Sparco but they say the model they list is for the NA model specifically. I would be interested if there is any difference.
TIA,
Steve |

I'd be willing to bet that without the charge tube there is nothing stopping you from installing any brace designed for the 924. The strut towers are identical, as is the head and intake height.
First, I would see if anyone has one going on ebay. I picked my RD up for $120 as opposed to $285 from PP.
If not google away.
Sparco tends to be overpriced I find, but I have never looked at their strut braces. _________________ MJ

If you guys want a strut brace I can get some made.
I have the proto type KLA brace for the 924 Turbo/GT.
We never got around to making them due low demand, so it would have to be a special run order. And I would actually be making them.

the intake manifold sits alittle more to the drivers side of the car (LHD cars) than the NA, so the bump in it might be not be in the right spot and may rub. to prevent this you may have to put a spacer between the motor mounts and the chassis to drop the engine abit, but then the foam between the charge tube and chassis wont seal 100% _________________ 3 928s, |

Why does it say that 944 kla strut doesn't fit 924 N/A then?? The clearance should be beeter without the charge tube right??
Anyway if it does fit and the price is right bob, I would be interseted...

the KLA 944 strut brace wont fit the 924 due to the intake manifold it is much higher than the 944.
also in regards to this unless you have alot of other suspension work done (monoball bushings, camber plates) and you will also be needing racing slicks, or VERY grippy tires, otherwise it would be a waste of time and money and 1 more thing to remove to work on the engine,
trust me if it would have helped or was needed Porsche would have put it on there to start with, dont believe me look at the 928. _________________ 3 928s, |
