The lamp under my hood doesn't work (it used to work every once in a blue moon). I replaced and resoldered the connections, cleaned the grounds, but no light. There must be a switch somewhere that is activated when the hood opens, but I can't find it. Also, the power lead goes into the cabin under the dash. Anybody know where the switch is??? _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

| IIRC its in the light and is a mercury switch. It only works if the parking lights are on. |

correct the headlights do have to be on and it is a mercury activated switch inside it, if you really want it to come on when you open the hood then get a hood switch for an alarm mounted up and just get a standard light fitting mounted in that gets cut off when the hood is closed. _________________ 3 928s, |
