|

Hey folks,
Someone told me that one should leave retractable headlights up in the winter. The concern is that, should they ice over, the motor to raise and lower them could burn out. Could be a problem, since I live in the north-east USA
Do you recommend leaving the lights up in the winter? If so, is there a swithch on the headlight mechanism to accomplish this? I have an '88 924s.
Thanks |

I park outside and don't do it, but if you want to, just raise the headlights, then pull the relay from the side of the motor.
Then write "headlight motor" on it so you don't have to wonder what it's for come springtime. _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

even though I don't live somewhere where it ices over very often maybe once in 10-15 years. This sounds like a good judgement call. having lived in the east and seen how thick ice can build up and cause such a pain. Could save from future pains. good luck and just as said before get up pull the relay. Good Luck _________________ Life is to short to be looking for something? |
