So I am headed up north in the Durango, going to pick up some stuff and visit family DEC 14 -Dec 21 thought I would ask if anyone needs anything picked up or dropped off. I am headed up to Chicago then back again to south Florida.

Going up to Ohio then over to Chicago. Durango has a lot of room and even a trailer hitch... I could deliver everthing from parts to a car, I would of course require that the parts be properly wrapped, sealed, whatever so they dont leak. I have some large rubbermade tubs with lids so shouldnt be to much trouble.

Let me know.

The Omaha crew would enjoy a visit, but you will be a little short of us. Have a safe trip.

OK ESC944 I have a mission for you if you choose to take it.

I have a large crate (App. 72"x30"x17") that I need to get from FL to MI. It will be very convenient for you to pick up in FL and I will meet you in OH to pick it up.

Do you think this is something that you would be willing to do?

Let me know.

Yea Mark I think I could do that, PM me with details on when you would need to meet me extra...

I will measure the back of the durango, but it should fit no problem with the seats folded down. What kind of weight, I dont have access to a fork lift you know....

My concern would be making sure it doesnt leak or stink... dead bodies will need to be properly wrapped and sealed before transport, and not recognizable as such, in case I get stopped.

Even with Mark's stuff I would still have room. Its just me and a durango has room inside and the luggage rack, trailer hitch, etc.... I know if you are like me before I got a tow vehicle, a lot of stuff seemed out of reach.

Oh yea...

If anyone has a trailer, car or otherwise I can borrow... or rent I can take up more stuff... or bring stuff back, etc.... their is some stuff I would like to bring back, well quite a bit, even some stuff that people want me to deliver.... but space becomes a concern. I would considre taking a car up or down... but I cant go to far out of the way, unless you want spend some money... after all gas prices suck.

Best if you have stuff and can have someone meet me, if its located way off the beaten path.

Procon,

Yea that trailer might come in very handy, if you can spare it for a week, while I go up and come back?

PM me and lets talk.

Route so far is from South Florida

Stop to see 924guy and pick up stuff,

North up and over to Sylva, NC to see Procon

Then up to ohio to see My924gtc

Then over to Chicago

On the way back,

Stop to see My924gtc

Then Down to Georgetown, KY then south to Florida

Then back up to Sylva, NC to see Procon, then home in florida

Procon is lending me his trailer, so I have lots of room on the way up and a little on the way back down.

I might be persuaded to go out of the way, but so far that is the route

Will be headed up the 13/14th Dec. 2004

Take pictures!! I hope the seats in your Durango are more forgiving than my work one. Worst ride ever! My old Power Wagon 440 was more comfortable on long ride and got better fuel economy. Only cost about $10 to fill the tanks The durango is great offroad though and that is what it's for.

The seats are very comfortable, its the SLT+, so it has about every option, leather, power, blah blah an the 5.9 Magnum. SO gas mileage will suck towing, but in general it isnt that bad.

Yes Lots of pictures for sure, sort of a wild life safari... ssssh be verrry qqqquiet we are hunting porsches.....

and here we have a 19... in its natural habitat... this particular subspecies is known for its....hahahaha

Still have room for stuff if anyone needs anything, their are quiet a few porsche dismantlers along the way....

Road Trip Complete, Items Delivered and Met a few felow 924 People, even saw a few porsches on the road, saw one odd Site.

A 924 Carrera GT Clone Ice Racer. It is Orange and Black, it had spiked Tires-- yea as in steal spikes, Stickers, Sponsers, Number 66. It was sitting on a trailer at a rest area, couldn't find the driver or the owner of the truck. Plates where from Ontario?

Anyone ever seen a Ice Racer Porsche before?

Glad to see you made it back alive ESC. I hope the return was less eventful than the trip up. Thakns again for everything.

Ice racer huh, that makes me drool. One of my favorite Ice Racers are the Opels, but a CGT one sounds tight.
