Just went through some old boxes of stuff & found an old Remote-Control car I have is a "Porsche 935 Turbo".
Anyone know if this was an actual model, like maybe a Carrera GT or something? _________________ TJ

Seems like its a 911 with a special body kit. A pure racing breed.
Found this web page:

The 935 was an awe inspiring car, made about 800hp out of a turbocharged flat 6. It was the first real high power 911 based car that Porsche raced. It culminated in Moby Dick, an outrageously bodied car with seemingly impossible flares.

It was Danny Ongias, however, who had the best quote concerning the street 935...
"It is a very nice car to drive - in a straight line!"
The car was never sure which end was supposed to lead the way through corners. Something like 90% of all body repair was done to the rear quarterpanels. |
