Need a 30 second flow test on a new pump if someone
wants to. 30 seconds is long enough. This isnt a load test
under pressure. Just need to check 18 pumps and want a base
before hooking them up. Got some hoses for both ends that will
be submerged into containers one marked in cc the other full of fuel.
Intake pump gors in the full container and the outlet goes into a
graduated cylinder or a container marked out in ccs and a power
source and a watch to time 30 second bursts.

Just curious....can this test be done with a liquid other than gasoline? Can someone use some other petroleum based fluid that isn't quite so volatile? Seems like connecting/disconnecting that many pumps, something's going to throw a spark and.....well, you don't need to much imagination for that to get a visual.

Not a new pump, a good one though. I avoided it all day, as I chopped fire wood swept off seck and cleaned hot tub cover as I thought how cool it was gonna be
to maybe get it fixed thinkien 18 pumps isnt that many .... then I needed the double male fitting between pump and out let hose off the car for my testing set up...need that guidline.. anyway the stink of gas is different
on the hands clothes an if the door is left open in garage youll catch a whiff.need that guide (output). Someone gonna do it . probly over 1ooo
ccs.

Someone needs to do the test.

Joe in chapter 3 section 7 of the haynes manual it says for a 30 second run you should have at least 750cc or else the pump is bad. Just out of curiosity but where in the hell did you get 18 fuel pumps and why do you need that many?

He's going to wire all of them up together to get the required amount of fuel to the engine

At what point do you admit you are lost and take it to a garage?

Diesel if you get really bored you can give me an answer.
Ill never take it to a garage It could be the intake gasket I made it about 3 yrs ago & its lived thru a few removals maybe it had a tear somewhere
and fell out or got sucked in leaven a leak... maybe.

Well how many new posts are you going to put up that say, "Hmm, sputterin seems fuel won't make injectors spurt what could it be"? Your approach to diagnosis is ridiculous and more than likely 'repairs' that you've made in the past are contributing to the state of your vehicle right now. I don't mind helping anyone, from sending parts for free, to e-mailing TSB's and procedures from Alldata(that I have at work). You have to come to terms with the fact that your car needs professional help and stop swapping in junkyard parts hoping for a 'magic bullet' that is going to fix it. Honestly Joe, it getting freaking ponderous.
