Hey Guys I am going to be coming up to Oregon for a much needed vacation next week. I will be spending some time in Both Ashland and Portland. My question is are radar detectors legal in your state? Not that I am planning to speed , But we all know how the 5 is!
Thanks |

I don't know if they are legal or not, but Oregons speed limit is slower than WA, and I find myself always speeding. If your bored in Oregon, you can always drive an extra 4-6 hours up here _________________ Life is to short to be looking for something? |

| Radar detectors are indeed legal here. Plus there aren't too many troopers on I5 in Oregon, at least not compared to Washington. |

| Thank you for the definitive answer, and of course I know not to pump my own gas. (tell me they haven't changed that). By the way it seems odd not to tip the service guys, Do you do that or does that make me fit my CA plates? |

No tips. Just smiles
There have been more troopers on the 5 lately between Ashland and Grants Pass. I think I saw 2 last week _________________ Glenn Neff

You know, when I lived in Grants Pass (a long time ago) I don't recall ever seeing a cop of any kind. We used to road race all over that area, including Medford, as my then girlfriend lived there. Anyway, I never had a ticket. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo |
