I don't think so. You might be safer with the metal instead of the alum. Alum cracks and to replace the ball joints is expensive. Your current ball joints are about 12 bucks ea.
While you are changing the A arms put in Bug Pack 12 dollar plastic bushings. They give a firmer feel.

If you need two 924 iron A arms let me know.

You might also want to throw a bead weld along the seems of the steel A-Arm while you are at it. Both sides. This will make them even stronger.

Unless you know exactly what kind of steel they are made from I would not weld them.To do it properly you need the right filler rod and info like whether to pre heat before welding or post heat treat in order to get the entire part back to the right temper. All steels have different properties and if they crack and a wheel falls off in a hard, high speed corner your gonna be in trouble.

7018 rod 1/8 to 3/32 no bigger due to the heat

wire brush the seam and clean out the paint

Just watch your heat and have fun.

The factory 933 arms were gusseted for strength.

Once again Bob eliminates the guess work.

What a resource you are Mr. Zuffen.

Any idea where they put the gussets? A pic would be nice if you've got one.

Nothing quite like a 3/32 7018 rod

MIG would work just fine as well, but I've always preferred the feel of an arc welder over wire feed.

There's a trailing arm, no pics of the A arms. It's not that difficult to see where it would be able to flex, just imagine which direction the forces are going to be exerted on it and weld some sheet metal on where it looks like it could flex.
