Here is some history.
I bought the car with a bad oil tube elbow.
The cam and one lifter were badly worn.
I replaced them both.
I've always had a tap on just that valve before and after---I thought it was a burnt valve and could only be fixed on a rebuild.
Yesterday something cleared.
The tap is gone
And then Wow! Is this what a Porsche is suppose to be like? Wow!
It now has a nice warm quiet rumble. Now when I WOT-- it goes-- WOW!
I'm glad I don't have a turbo-- I don’t know how you Turbo guys don’t kill yourselves Wow.
What a nice car.
My grease work is paying off.
Wow.
What do you think happened?

A rough guess? Carbon build up that has been cleaned out by your fuel additive.
Enjoy! _________________ '80 924 Turbo |
