He already sent me the font but I can't seem to use it. My cpu just shows it as times new roman. |

huh...what does it look like? Maybe the name is wrong
and you actually have to import it in the system font folder to be able to access it as a selectable font....at least on a Mac you do _________________ Bob Dodd - 924turbo@cox.net

Yeah, I loaded it about 4 times, rebooted my cpu, entered the font in paint, MS Word, etc... no go.
It just shows up like the regular font in my writing programs. It won't appear in any font frop down bar either. It doesn't like me. |

Neil, if you're using Windows XP have a read of this http://www.myfonts.com/support/help_install_win.html
I installed Porsche fonts from Rennlist and when I list the fonts in Word the Porsche font displays as black boxes in the drop-down menu but if you select it you get the Porsche font. With the fonts I downloaded you can only use them in upper-case (caps lock) in lower-case they just display black boxes. _________________ 1979 924 (Gone to a better place)

Peter is correct. I got mine from the same site.
I loaded the font into C:\windows\fonts
It shows up even in AOL when I type it but if the rec'ver doesn't have the font, it will show up as something different to him/her. I even got it to work in my CAD programs and have used it on some drawings at work.
Also, after loading, it ends up at the very top of my font selection list because of its' numerical label. But it may depend on how you name the file, too. Mine is labled "911 Porscha", that's the way it came to me. YMMV. |
