NEED TO KNOW THE EXACT BORE TO BORE CENTER TO CENTER SPACING...
Trying to find dimensions, width, length, bore spacing, etc... I know the stroke and bore, thats easy to get, but the other stuff... does anyone know.
I am not ready to take my block apart to find out, but I am hoping someone who has theirs apart or who has measured this can comment and post the information.
Thanks!

ESC944 if you happen to come up the east coast again let me know. I have a bunch of 924 NA stuff you can have to use to mock things up on. Block with crank and flywheel and a head with a broken cam bearing just off the top of my head. _________________ -'87 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L 6" of lift 33" Super Swampers

I'll second the 96mm centre-to-centre. Unscientific measurement of an old block with a pair of cheap digital calipers. _________________ 1979 924 (Gone to a better place)

This sounds suspiciously like someone's trying to find an alternate cylinder head for the beloved 924, in the never-ending search to do something about the 924s only real weakness.
If you are, I applaud the effort and, since I happen to have an extra bloack and some head gaskets, will volunteer to tromp the the junkyards of Nashville like an object-oriented Don Quixote. Seriously, if you are trying to find a compatible cylinder head, and you can't find a donor in your area, I'll give it a go. _________________ My frequent desire to perform violent acts on select other drivers is not road rage; it is simply preemptory self-defense. |

Do you have an old head gasket you could use for reference? It would at least give some of the critical dimensions
You've got me curious as to what your project is!
Sorry I don't have the dimensions to provide though. |

ESC944, you keeping this a secret? C'mon, spill it!
I'm from Columbia, but am currently going to NADC in Nashville, TN. What color is yours? I may have seen it.
As for paintball, my Tippmann was stolen about a year ago, and I just haven't had the funds to replace it. Did see an A-4 going for $199 on eBay. Pumps are fine, but I like the convienence of a semi-auto. _________________ My frequent desire to perform violent acts on select other drivers is not road rage; it is simply preemptory self-defense. |

If someone's interested, I have CAD-files of the 924 head gasket, in .dxf, .cdr etc formats. My friend did them for me to make the Cu-head gasket on the CNC-waterjet. Just e-mail me: porsche@fastestcar.com _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp

Width 139mm
Length 429mm and 433mm (there's a step on the NA head)
Height 156mm (head, not head and cam cover)
These are for a NA head and all plus or minus 0.5mm _________________ 1979 924 (Gone to a better place)

Sorry to hijack. HappyPuppy, what kind of marker are you looking for exactly? I have a couple of spare markers (spyders, Tippy's, cockers, Nova's) if you are interested PM me. _________________ -'87 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L 6" of lift 33" Super Swampers
