Well I got into an accident today

This idiot was in a left-turn lane, suddenly decided he didn't want to be there, so without looking, he started into my lane. I went right to avoid him (there was a right-turn lane there), but because I was going too fast to turn, and it was wet out, I could not slow down enough and hit an abuttment seperating the straight-through traffic from the right-turn traffic.

There was a really hard impact, and the car started making horrible noises and the tire was smoking like crazy.

I pulled over and found that my lower A-arm and tie-rod end had absorbed all of the impact, and the frame SEEMS to be unaffected. So, I had the 931 towed back home for a song (driver forgot to log the milage ).

The ironic thing of this whole story is that the only reason I hit the curb was because I am using worn-out crappy tires, which did not give me enough traction. And where was I headed? To Lizard's place to temporarily swap rims & tires so that I could take the car out for a well-deserved drive.

All of this happened just 3 days after I had sealed up all of my intake tube leaks (so now I get proper boost numbers), and had fixed the cracked firewall and failed clutch master cylinder only a week prior.

Hence, the title of this thread
