Does anyone find that their interiors are hot while driving? I will drive for a few hours and when I'm pulling onto my road, I'll wind up the window and be sweating before I get to my house. I can understand that on 25-30 dergree days but even when it's 15 degrees it's like that. And my temp guage only ever gets up to 1/2, usually it stays a little above a quarter. And the car is idleing at 1,200 rmps, so the water pump should be off-setting any heat soak.

Well, living in sub-tropical Oz, I share your pain. I currently have non-functioning air-con and the interior is just an oven! And yes, it really heats up, just from driving, not necessarily sitting in the sun or whatever 'cause it happens at night, too.

I drive with the sunroof out and windows down whenever possible!

I know someone will suggest that the heater isn't shutting off but I doubt that's it because I can't feel hot air blowing out from anywhere... it just sort of heats up. Mind you, like Neil924 says, it's after hours of driving, not a quick trip to store or whatever.

But it's the dead of winter here and the forecast is for 24 C today It's getting a little cooler at night, sometimes sneaking below 10 C. But it warms up pretty quickly during the day.

Isn't it awful when it's going to be 30 degrees+ for the day and at 7:30 am it's already 25 degrees? It drives me crazy! That's when you start slamming the beer back.

even in the us, in wisconsin its getting pretty warm. its been in the mid 80's the whole week, which im sure is really nothing compared to your highs, but its enough for me to switch to my car that has a/c!
since the post is already here, ive been doing work on the a/c, and have the belt tightened and the a/c is fully charged, but when i turn it on, the electromagnetic clutch plate doesnt pick up. so everything spins, its jsut that the a/c doesnt turn on.
which fuse goes to the a/c and what other problems could it be?

Alex - Have a look here, and at the linked-to pic of the receiver-dryer - if you don't know what it looks like or where it is - http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=15121

Pressure switch faulty, fuse, low on gas (but you said it was charged).
There is a thermostat under the dash to prevent freezing condensate on the evaporator.
Fuse info

Hope this helps.
