Some spring info here -
http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=13001
http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=11765
Different springs were used and their removed length varied from 371mm (green striped)-381mm(blue striped).
Measured from 931 springs with 3 blue stripes -
overall OD = 122mm
coil thickness = 11.8mm _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

I really thank you for those numbers, is the diameter the same on the 924na, i think it is...
This give me the oppurtunity to maybe test a spring from a saab 900, its 125mm but it might work with a little bit of persuasion....
its a 237 lb/in spring and is 391mm long, maybe i have to cut it down a bit..
Best of all is the price, at current exchange rate it´s about 26$ per spring= happy wallet.
do you think it might go ? the plan is to get 25.5mm torsion bars at the rear... _________________ 1980 924 Turbo

there are not much aftermarket parts here in sweden for ours cars, thats why i´m trying other solutions, its not like beeing in the us. Ordering things from example paragorn, wich is outside europe isn´t that fun, they add a lot of taxes in the swedish toll, i think it is 25% +12%, maybe something more. Plus the shipping... _________________ 1980 924 Turbo

Cutting that spring will increase the springrate, so you want to be sure you cut both springs in exactly the same place. If you're going to be custom fabricating things, you may want to just cut off the original spring mount/seat, and get a sleeve kit instead.
