| Many thanks to all those who have helped w/the problems encountered in reviving my '78. Last night I pulled away from the stop sign, put my foot down to shift into second, heard a pop, and my clutch stopped working. I was able to drive home in 2nd, since it was a straight shot. The clutch pedal goes up and down now, but there is no resistance, and no effect. Are there any common weak spots in the linkage, or am I looking at opening up the transaxle? |

| No, I haven't checked the cable, but I will do so. Can this be spliced, or should it be replaced? |

Replaced.
You should also check the grounds on your car, as bad grounds make the clutch cable work as a ground, and lessens it's life. _________________ Ryan Moone
