Can a larger transmission cooler be substituted for the 931 engine oil cooler to provide additional cooling capacity? Any problems with this? Thanks. _________________ 1981 931 (Concours)

Bumps. Does anyone have any information on this? How do the designs differ between transmission and engine coolers? I really need your input. Thanks. _________________ 1981 931 (Concours)

There really isn't any difference. Your biggest PITA in swapping in a bigger cooler in the 931 will be dealing with the stock oil cooler fittings.
The oil cooler I'm currently using on my NA racecar is 8x11", and is more commonly sold as a trans cooler, IIRC. _________________ Vaughan Scott

Thanks for the info. I'm assuming that's the core size your talking about. _________________ 1981 931 (Concours)

That's correct. I've found Racer Parts Wholesale has very good deals on them... _________________ Vaughan Scott
