My car still has the space saver spare but no way of inflating it. What did Porsche provide for this?

I have one of those cheap piece o' crappei 12V pumps from Kmart in the car and don't expect much from it so also have a foot pump for when the Kmart pump burns out (probably after 10 minutes). I also say a little prayer to the flat tire fairy every time I go somewhere in hopes that he/she/it will leave me alone. A way better solution, and I should take my own advice here, is to carry a regular full size spare. Someone here recently mentioned that Euro cars (or was it Aussie?) came with a full size spare and slightly different cargo area carpeting that fits over it. (The spare well is big enough, just the carpeting won't fit over top of a full size spare with US carpeting.) _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

My US spec 924 has a full size spare. The rear carpet is flat up until the spare, at which it rises up to fit the spare. I'm fairly sure this should be normal for US cars. My 944 has a flat rear carpet and a smaller spare though. _________________ 1986 944 | 1978 924 (FS) | 1982 931 | 1980 931 |
