well they dont realy race them...they just talk about them...but obvioustly the Porsche is lighter...more powerfull.....so its faster

actually the movie talks about the RX-7 more than the Porsche, its like trying to show how the mazda has as much capabilities as the porsche 924. obvouisly the porsche 924 is better

is this the 924S?
from what I've read the first generation rx7 was faster and handled just as good (u.S 924) and it cost way less than a 924. I hate the sound of the old rx7s the rotary engine sounds like a buzzing bee.
I havea an article where they compare the 924S to an rx7 2nd gen, a mitsubishi and also a a honda crx si.
all the cars were pretty close too the 924S performance, they just said that the 924 was of a better built quality and had better interior and more original design (obviously).

Having owned both, the rx7 was quicker but the handling didn't even come close - they're very tail happy and hard to drive at the limit compared to a 924.
